In this version, format such as bolding, tabs, and centering has been removed. This ensures that any computer will be able to view it correctly. Use this plain text version when you need to copy and paste content into online job boards or when employers specifically request a scannabale resume. It's also not a bad idea to paste this version of your resume at the bottom of your cover letter when you email it to a potential employer.
Edit by opening Notepad. Click on the "Start" menu at the bottom left of your computer screen, select "Run," type in the word "notepad," select "OK." Go to "File," then "Open," then browse to find your document.
